- The process of Energy recovery from waste is the conversion of non-recyclable waste materials into usable heat, electricity, or fuel through a variety of processes, including combustion, gasification, pyrolization, anaerobic digestionand landfill gas recovery. This process is often called waste to energy.
- The most common method for Waste to energy approach is Incineration. Which is the combustion of organic material.
- Waste-to-energy plants burnmunicipal solid waste(MSW), often called garbage or trash, and produces a steam in a boiler that is used to generate electricity. MSW is a mixture of energy-rich materials such as paper, plastics, yard waste, and products made from wood.
